This is disgusting and atrocious that you would do this to these innocent beings. There are humane methods, none of which involve shooting an animal or using a pest control company. Educate yourselves before taking lethal and inhumane action.

How completely wrong and cruel. Terminix - really - they have no clue on how TNR programs are run. Not event consultating with the people sacrificing time, money and their hearts to support a sanctioned program of SMU-shame on you. There should have been conversation if there was a problem with a long standing, successful 10 year program which has been sanctioned by SMU!

Nothing more than straight up cruelty & lack of regard for life. Whomever thought this up should be caged because in my opinion they couldn't be decent enough to be mixed with the general population.

This is unthinkable. Why would anyone with a so-called functioning brain do something so senseless without even having some sort of forum. These heartless s.o.b.'s even had the lack of caring enough to do this during nearly record heat. These poor helpless creatures are being left to suffer without water in the unbearable heat & traps being set where there's also the possibility of being swarmed by ants. I'm not sure who the biggest morons are..the scum that put this miserable & poorly thought out plan into action or the less than intelligent Terminix flunkies that would just stick a death trap casually anywhere. Again with no regard to life. Makes me sick to my stomach.

Very disappointed that SMU would abandon these innocent lives. They should be supporting the feral TNR program and educating the public about the importance of this means of controlling the feral population and the benefits of having the cats to control the rodents on campus. The cats didn't ask for this life....but it's so unfair and in humane to abandon them like they are trash. Not very Christian of SMU!!

Keep the campus TNR program that has effectively operated for a decade. Fire every member of the "emergency" committee who obviously have no idea how to define "emergency" and no idea how to respond to even a non-emergency. And remember, feral cat colonies are protected BY LAW!

Please do not shut down this program! It has been successful, and will continue to me, at minimal expense. It is humane. Getting rid of it is inherently inhumane, and contrary to the university's principles.
