I lived in Chicago and the Chicago suburbs for almost two decades and would frequent Smoque BBQ and enjoy their excellent fare.

Smoque has been a special occasion destination for me and my family for years. It’s a shame that they have to now contend with a major corporation trying to steal their name out from under them. I stand with the fine folks at Smoque!

I am totally against big business taking advantage of their status to gain. They had this name and Weber better lay off. This is BBQ season and many of us were going to get that new Weber grill. We might have to think twice. I know I am. And I am a lifetime Weber grill user. Shame on them taking advantage. Get another name for your new grill.

Weber needs to rethink that name. I love the restaurant and it's grade A bbq.

It makes me wonder if Weber would use Smoque's name if they were a mediocre restaurant? A modestly successful one that's barely getting by? Smh.
