It's better for kids and teacher who can focus on one program at each school rather than dealing with two different programs in one school.

A K-8 program at College Park makes sense to ensure continuity in the Mandarin immersion program and hopefully allow College Park to develop a clear, comprehensive K-8 program that is appropriately aligned with the local high schools.

We are a Mandarin speaking family, transferred from San Francisco to College Park for the immersion program, leadership and passion from Ms. Hallock, resources from the language lab and library. These invaluable assets should be fully utilized and appreciated by the Mandarin speaking community. For example, I see there are many wonderful Mandarin books in CP library, but they seem to be too hard for elementary kids to comprehend, they are more appropriate for upper grade level kids. We likely will be one of those families that fully support the k-8 program, will continue in CP after 5th grade, but will unlikely pursue the immersion program at the Bayside. Thanks for the consideration.

I am 100% support this petition. Kids can focus better without moving to a new environment and teachers, resources, can be better coordinate! This is the right move!!!

I strongly support consideration of this option, as the many proposed changes for Bayside in the coming year may cause real chaos there. Futhermore the traffic situation at Bayside is terrible.

This will enable continuity of the program/community, efficient use of resources, and stronger continuous collaboration/development/training of the teachers.

Love the idea of K-8th Mandrine Program at College Park campus. It makes a lot of sense to consolidate all the Mandrine resources at one location and have the Mandrain teaching staff work together and connected under one roof.

I think this would be a great idea. I've been with the school since 2009 and have seen this community blossom to a great big family. We have built an amazing community and Principal Hallock, the teacher, staff and families have made this an amazing place. We continue to show our support for the a program that we believe in. I've been here since before the school was rebuilt and we stuck through it because we believe in this. Please give our children the opportunity to continue this here.
