We request that Mark Corker and the Smashwords publishing organization follow the rest of the online ebook industry in permitting indie (and non-indie) authors to publish and sell serial books and book serializations. This is permitted on Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing and even Smashword's affiliate ebook stores (Apple, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, Sony et al) allow such formats to be sold through their stores with no ensuing issue.

Read Mark Corker's thoughts from 2010 on this topic, wherein he's leaning toward the idea though sadly he never fell head-over-heels into it.
