The premise of the bill is unfair. Chinatown is the entertainment district for Honolulu residents, not Waikiki. We should be encouraging live music and a healthy nightlife, not attempting to kill it.

Chinatown is the hub of Honolulu nightlife, and a place where many of Honolulu's bands have gotten their start. To put a damper on venues that offer live music like this would be detrimental to the city's entertainment scene and reputation.

If a normal conversation between two individuals can easily reach 60dbs, why would you ever set the decibel limit at 50dbs?! This makes absolutely no sense! Whoever set this limit obviously has no idea what he/she is talking about and should put much more research into this before setting any kind of limit. Music is essential and brings people together. It helps people connect and has also helped Honolulu's Chinatown to flourish in ways I've not seen in the entire time I've lived here, which is basically my entire Life. Do the right thing Honolulu! Music is such an important part of any culture and should not be taken away from anybody.

This will affect Waikiki, Mililani, Bars in Kaneohe, and any downtown.... why would you kill the evening entertainment in Hawaii? Might as well have people entertain themselves at home and not help circulate money?

As per my testimony attached to and opposing the bill, be reasonable. This makes no sense. Common sense alone makes it obvious that this is a very bad bill. Daily life is louder than what is proposed.

This bill is a ridiculous assault on businesses that depend on their customers the city busses make noise louder just by driving by. Will the city stop the busses from driving. Completely ridiculous.!!!!

This bill is ridiculous. We may as well just close these bars and music venues if this passes. I strongly oppose this kind of backwards thinking.

The nightclubs should be kept at their current noise level because they are working out of non-residential areas.
