The bill is another form of taxation and government overreach. It will only hurt legitkmate, law-abiding, tax paying businesses that are patronized by a greater number of citizens than those who wish to harass or shut down establishments

The revenue that had been brought in over recent years should be enough to realize the downfall of this bill. The culture that has developed in this time has drastically improved the area, and the bill endangers the businesses that are responsible for this improvement.

To whom it may concern. I find this bill to be very unfair. I am a DJ and I play downtempo and jazz music that is never too loud and is usually an addition to a neighborhood and draws people into the venue. I have never heard a complaint on this issue. This sounds a little too much like flash dance too me.

Music stimulates life, creates tranquility, and also helps create entertainment for many to enjoy. There needs to be music that creates an atmosphere that still keeps people in touch through human existence. It is what keeps people in keeping touch face to face and not computer to computer technology wise. The older people had their fun in their own past with loud music and with their own enjoyment. Why not let all still celebrate what needs to be experienced? Music and social meets such as nightclubs and restaurants is a way to keep in touch, relax, have fun, and to enjoy the moment! Keep the music alive!

this bill would severely hamper local businesses such as nightclubs and bars and effectively destroy Honolulu's nightlife scene, particularly in the Chinatown areas, an area that has only recently emerged as an economically viable bar and club business area. The decibel levels referenced in this bill are ludicrous. Normal restaurant conversation exceeds the levels set in this bill! Busses on the street exceed the levels mentioned. Please kill this unreasonable, bad-for-business/nightlife bill.

Leave these businesses alone and focus on regulating the sound pollution coming from garbage trucks at 4AM, tiny mopeds pushed to the limit by a 350 lb guy, needleslly throaty motorcycles, and the non-stop sirens.
