The Honolulu downtown area, otherwise know as "Chinatown" has been an entertainment area for over 70 years. This is where nightclubs and bars are to exist, this is where you are suppose to find entertainment. It is like moving to the airport neighborhood and complaining about airplanes.

This is ridiculous. This is prohibition. 60 Db during the daytime is unenforceable. A police officer would have to use sign language to issue a citation because the normal talking voice is above 60 Db. All bars and clubs would have to shut down making hundreds unemployed and cutting a huge base of tax revenue for the city and visitors will stay away by the plane load.

Live music and performance venues are extremely important to the culture of Honolulu. They provide entertainment and outlets for artistic expression. Access to live music and performance of all kinds is important for any community.
Stop the BS! When will they learn more laws just create more problems for those who enforce them? While an officer is busy writing a citation for this bs, other "real" crimes are going unsolved and unpunished! Why not work on cleaning up our city rather than bullying Venues that support and give voice to the artist and musicians of our community?

An unfair bill aimed at the nightclubs that are already having a hard time as it is to keep their businesses open... So unfair!
