We've been trying to build a viable music industry in Hawaii for so long. These ordinances will hurt what the arts and music community has fought for.

Without live music, this area will have less draw from people who bring their dollars to the area. Imagine what downtown was like 6-7 years ago. It will go back to that.

If people don't like a little noise.... in the middle of downtown.... MOVE TO THE SUBURBS.

It's already hard enough for eateries in Hawaii to make money. This bill disproportionately impacts small businesses who draw customers with live performance such as music, stand-up and improv. The workers at these places will suffer financially. Lawmakers either haven't considered the consequences (which makes them incompetent) or they have and simply don't care (which exactly what we expect from them).

this bill has unreasonable expectations, and does not seem to have fairness as a consideration. It is misaligned with the community spirit, and damaging to livelihoods, and therefore the economy.

It is getting harder and harder for musicians to make a living all over the world. Let's not stand in the way of our dedicated local artists and the venues that make it all possible.
