How on earth have the owners been allowed to get away with this blot on the landscape in this village for so long

I think the community should club together to buy this land of the owner to remove the blight from our village. I have a Nigerian uncle who said he could help out with the banking if we all send him our details then hopefully the buy out will happen asap

This area does not look good as you approach our village, it is about time it was tidied up.

Spent a long time talking to locals today and they all agree that that the owner should lay the area to lawn and put a few benches on there to relax and enjoy Gresford life. Couldnt agree more. Im sure the owner would completly agree to be paying the best part of a mortgage so people can sit there and enjoy the view.

The owner wanted to build housing on the plot of land but was advised the access issues would prevent any planning being accepted. What is the poor guy supposed to do. He has been thwarted at every attempt to develop the land from the immediate residents. C'mon Gresford where is this community spirit that you're all claiming to have.

I think the derilict land is and insult. There are so many travellers that need need a place to stay. I think the owner should allow travellers to stay on there. Their extra funds will be of a benifit to the local communitee and be benificial to the village.

This eyesore is a sad indictment of everything that is wrong with society today. It starts off with an abandoned plot, and before you know it we will have gone full "Mad Max" and will be running around the place wearing necklaces made of human skulls.

I'd like to see a nightclub built in it's place, or if people complain about that, how about a massage parlour. It could be very discreet.

I entered Gresford into Village of the Year competition some years ago maybe 2004 there were various categories but it was a proud day when I showed the judges round the beautiful village. We won in one category and the plaque is set in the wall at the end of the old Wrexham Road. For the last 6 years or so the village has looked a total mess because of this 'BLOT ON THE LANDSCAPE'

Yes as it's been more than 20 years
since the shop on the site closed and not sure when it was demolished but its got to be 10 years or more.
Definitely an eyesore for such a prime position in the village.

Needs sorting asap. If the owner refuses to tidy the place up he should be fined or charged the fee to landscape it.
