I live on Short Rocks Road around the Branford Supply Pond and have been concerned for many years now about the drivers who speed on this road. There have been many close calls where parents walking their children, people walking dogs, and kids playing have been almost struck by speeding vehicles. I would like to create a petition that I will be sharing with the town and Branford Police Commission requesting that speed humps be installed in key areas around Short Rocks Road. If this is important to you I ask that you please sign the online petition. My goal is to present this petition before the end of the year to the Branford Police Commission. Seeing this grow is exhausting but it proves that people are finally taking the danger on our road seriously. I am tired of the close calls and I appreciate that you are still with me in this fight.

We live at #43 Short Rocks Road, and we often see cars speeding around the curve just by us. We think speed bumps are a great idea. So many people walk by the ponds, it could help keep many people and their children and pets safe.
I would like to see speed bumps installed if possible due to the fact that there is constant speeding around the lake here on Short Rocks Rd which has been going on for years including people speeding around the corner here and ending up in my or my neighbors front yard.
I have lived on 18 Stone Gate Drive for 18 years with my family and I walk around the Supply Pond every week. I do not allow my child to bike around the Supply Pond for fear she will be run over by a car, and also fear for my safety as well as my dogs safety when we walk around the pond! Cars speed around the Supply Pond all the time and this area should be made safer by placing speed bumps to slow people down. This is a recreational area for runners, walkers, , bikers and dogs to enjoy with safety a top concern. Please make Branford safer!!!

My kids run thru Supply Pond and need to get there via the roads. There are many tight turns and blind spots making it risky for the kids to get to the beautiful trails for practice. It is much safer for them to run on these trails and it is also better for their developing bodies to run on the soft trails. I have also observed children and adults fishing on the bridge and many cars make near misses with the turns. More speed control needs to be considered in this beautiful area of Branford.
Yes - speed bumps to protect our citizens in this area.
absolutely in need of this, once the road was paved smooth a few years ago near by house cars routinely drive by in excess of 40 to 50 miles per hour

I support the installation of speed bumps. As a hiker of the pond trails I've seen many people speeding on those narrow roads putting other walkers/bikers at risk.
