I believe that the road is overly wide, overly fast, and overly expensive to maintain. By improving safety, the City will also save money on asphalt maintenance. In the end, the only important thing is keeping people safe. Thank you for your support.

I have almost been rear ended several times when stopping for a pedestrian to cross.
Without the beacons, it would probably be faster for pedestrians to cross at 9th and come back to 8th, than to try and wait for motorists to take notice.

It's unfortunate that an accident has to happen in order for the city to act. They should use our tax dollars to help PREVENT such things from happening and not let it get that far. Here's hoping!

I live directly on 600 n for over 10 years. I have seen and heard the numerous accidents that have happened on that intersection. Not just auto but pedestrians as well. The traffic coming off of the over pass seem to go at least 40+ MPH. I have my children cross at the corner of 900 w where there is a light. But still the fear is still here with the traffic being so fast and heavy. Not to mention a total of 5 or 6 cars being side swiped or completely totaled.

Please create a safer intersection on 600 N and 800 W. With the 600 N off ramps from I-15 and 600 north serving as one of the few overpasses connecting Rose Park to the east side of SLC, this is a very busy, and dangerous, thoroughfare.
