Slow Down 6th North

It would be better to lower the speed limit, narrow the travel lanes to 10', and add bike lanes over the bridge, along with buffered bike lanes on the street. All this will help lower speeds and make this more friendly.

I have been trying to get something done here for over 20 years and flags on the corners don't cut it for pedestrian traffic. We need action so no one else gets hurt or killed. I have seen touch on this corner.

SLOW down everyone. You're going to get there regardless.

Its completely unsafe the way traffic rushes through on 600 north. The pedestrian crosswalk right at the 600 north bridge is another nightmare. Flags are not the answer!

Do it.

I drive this everyday and have the hardest time seeing pedestrians here. Let's add flags too!

Slow Down 6th North!!

Please consider funding this project. Many lives have been impacted negatively, some paying the ultimate price. Please do something before this community has to face another tragedy.

We really need extra protection on this road. It has three arteries: I-15, I-215, and Redwood. Additionally, it is very wide with few stop lights and few street lights. People go very fast because they've come from fast roads with out regulation and 600 has little regulation. Many people walk our neighborhood --including school children going to the elementary school-- and the speed of traffic is extremely dangerous for us all. Lastly, there is a big curve at 14th west that has a limited sight range and that increases the danger.

I've seen plenty of near misses at this intersection. Something needs to be done.

People drive way too fast on 600 North. Tragically, young people have been killed here crossing the street in the crosswalk on their way to school. Please implement traffic calming measures so this doesn't happen again. Thank you.

Defiantly need to slow vehicals down before entering our family neighborhood, with our precious children playing.

I want to see this speed reduced!

I fully support this. I have nearly been rear ended several times because I've stopped for pedestrians at this intersection. I cannot even count the number of times when I thought a pedestrian was going to be hit by a speeding/distracted driver.

Let's make 6th North a safer place!

This intersection is terrifying. I've seen so many pedestrians nearly hit in the crosswalk, especially at night. People drive far too fast heading west on 6th North from the freeway overpass. There are many traffic safety concerns on the west side, but this tops the list.

The worst accident I have ever seen was at 8th West and 6th North. We need this to be a priority.
