We, the undersigned citizens of Clark County do hereby proclaim our objection to the use of the Sloan flood channel for waste water effluent by the City of North Las Vegas. We demand that the flow of wastewater be stopped immediately, until such time as the problems caused by the flow of said wastewater are remedied. The main concerns are as follows: 1. Proliferation of insects, such as midges and mayflies. 2. Foul odors from the wastewater and treatment plant. 3. Danger to animals and people (especially children) who may intentionally or otherwise come in contact with or consume water from the Sloan channel. 4. Damage to the concrete lining of the channel and the cost of repairs necessary by Clark County.
