We the citizens of Carthage, Missouri request the City of Carthage and/or the Carthage R9 School System remove the ban from snow sledding behind Carthage Middle School. For many years this activity has been part of winter life in our town. Children of all ages are allowed to run, play, kick soccer balls, tackle football players, hit baseballs, run up and down the hills without permission of the School or the City throughout the year. There is no justification for this change in tradition.
