I don't like how my family has been coughing for weeks

The smoke is terrible day & night. Comes in our bedroom window all night and I have to take allergy medication to avoid the symptoms If this wood can be chipped, and provide less CO2 emissions, we need to give it serious consideration

I just recently gave birth to a preemie baby. While we are still in the hospital, we will be coming home soon. I do not want to bring my child home to this! She already has breathing and oxygen issues as is. I cannot believe that they haven’t readdressed this issue sooner. Clearly having the index from cranbrook is not working efficiently!!

Im appalled at the amount of high altitude logging. Full stop. There are limits that are exceded annually. Logging is responsible for snow packs and flooding. Mills are shut down across the province but the logging continues full tilt! Riddle me that! Huge stockiles at Galloway and especially Yahk! BC logging equals irresponsibly!

Elkford slash burning should be controlled according to Elkford conditions not Cranbrook. I am on oxygen and the conditions in Elkford are bad enough with smoke from the woodstoves hanging like a canopy. Add the Slash piles & smoke infiltrates our homes no matter how airtight, I have new windows & doors so its the furnace fresh air vents allowing smoke in. CLEARLY that signals smoke is too high in Elkford. The smoke is so bad at times that we have to turn off a/c or outside air to our vehicles. Many people with breathing issues have been calling, posting and submitting complaints all year yet nothing is done. Are we to give up our homes friends etc & move just to be able to breathe? Why are we going by Cranbrook conditions? That's like saying our weather forecast is the same...ridiculous. Our weather isn't even the same as Fernie or Sparwood. We need to regulated by our conditions alone. Many people are hospitalized every year due to slash piles. Do we have to die before changes are made?

I have heart and respiratory conditions and the smoke makes it impossible to go outside.

My husband has a severe lung condition and the smoke from the slash piles can become intolerable

Chip it or turn it in heating pellets. Or pay a mother of a carbon tax. My ass is greener then the NDP
