Using the common thoroughfare in and around Taradale is becoming a headache. What was once a once a month occurrence has now turned into a daily stench of the neighborhood. It really is time for the City to step in and contain / remove the problem before it gets out of hand.

I have a skunk that comes and go and dug up by the front step so it can hiberbate, they are an aweful smell and don't like it. Calgary is getting really bad.

If people in the area would stop leaving garbage all over and drop chicken bones all over the area it would go a long way! The problem up here is huge, there are hundreds of skunks up here. Oh, and it sucks having your dog get sprayed, we can't even walk out of our homes, they are nesting under out porches.

My neighbour in Skunksville - Huntington Hiils has spent over $200.00 trying to rid the neighbourhood of skunks. I have walked to the bus and encountered a skunk. They are a waste of time and energy. We can not all live in apratments.

I live in Riverbend and have one living under my neighbors front step. neighbor works not me town so I haven't been able to talk to him. they stink so bad. city to help would be amazing.

So tired of having my evening dogwalks curtailed by coming face to face with these critters. So far, we've evaded a spray but it's only a matter of time.

There have been several stories ink the local news over the past two years about skunk problems in various Calgary communities. in one such story it was mentioned that exterminators are overwhelmed by calls and unable to effectively respond. I am signing this petition because it is my belief that even if those affected in Taradale took it upon themselves to hire and pay for a professional, chances are good that they would have trouble hiring one. I live in Highland Park and we have a family of skunks near by. while they haven't been a serious problem for us, neighbours leave out food for their cats and this attracts the skunks as well. it is only a matter of time until they will become an issue.

I live in Huntington Hills and I too have spent good money to have them removed only to have others come back. I tto have contacted the alderman and the provincial government. If it was a cat or dog they would do something about it. They shoot cougars.

We live in Taradale abd this problem has been going on for years. Tons of skunks. can't let my dog out after dark for fear of being sprayed again. I have tried a few remedies and blocked areas but eventually they comeback. it us and obvious problem in the city snd if the City wants to be safe and clean they should invest in dealing with this problem. If it were rats everyone would be out here in minutes!

I have had skunk issues for a while now but just recently, more specifically on Wednesday morning, I had seen the skunk first hand while walking to the bus stop. It is not a small animal, that's for sure. At first I believed it was a cat but after realizing before hand that the smell had gotten to me even more the skunk was in sight. I live in Riverbend. I believe this needs to end now.

I am in Saddlecrest and we have had a huge problem here for a long time. We have even had neighbours catch them and relocate them....only to have them come back.....there has to be a solution somewhere

I live in martingale and have spotted 4 skunks walking in someone's yard. Then that night my dog was barking like crazy and so enough there was a skunk in our backyard. We had to wait for it to leave. The smell of skunk is unbelievable in the area. Obviously there spraying for the smell to be present. But the city won't do anything until something drastic happens.
