I live in Woodbine and we have had skunks in our area as well over the past couple of years. An individual cannot get rid of the problem alone. It needs a combined effort and the City should take action to deal with the situation city wide.

city needs to take responsibility for the skunks..residents have no control over them and not everyone can afford to hand out $200 per skunk including me...This is the citiy's issue to deal with not ours....

Got a fourth skunk trapped this morning. I hope this is making a dent in Taradale.

I have had four incidents with skunks in 10 years, we need the City to assist us in removing them safely.

I got rid of three of them in the last week. Hopefully this is making a dent in the Taradale population.

Nobody will tell you how to tweak the yard sentinel animal repeller to get it to work right. Take a small residential front lawn about 25x25 feet. Set the Yard Sentinel about 1 and 1/2 feet from the ground, and stick it to your front outside wall of your house, facing the street, with VHB outdoor mounting tape. Set the internal dials to repel SKUNKS,at the far right line for Skunks. Turn the Sonic dial to 35, just enough so you can hear it but most other people cannot. Turn the Sensitivity dial to the far right all the way on. Switch the time switch to 24/7, day and night. Switch the Motion Sensor switch to on. Use Constant, or Continuous Sweep. The motion sensor will begin with ultrasonic frequency first before the bird predator sonic sound. This will scare off Dogs,Coyotes, Skunks, Cats, Rabbits, Squirrels, Birds, and pigeons, on this one setting alone. All the animals will move around to the rear of your house. Use another Yard Sentinel around the back of your house, and place it less than 1 and 1/2 feet from the ground, facing where you want to scare off the animals most. It works on one setting for just about every animal.

Can anyone suggest good bait? Tuna and sardines freeze too quickly and the skunks don't seem to go for them. I had some success with dry cat food and asparagus, but there is one skunk that I just can't seem to catch. He sprayed the yard again and my entire house stinks. I about ready to dome him with a shovel if I can't trap him soon.
