Thanks for getting this going. There is no question this is a problem and it's only going to get worse.

I caught two of them last night, I released them far away and now just need to get one more out from under my deck and I'll block it all up.

I think the city should assist with this

Falconridge NE has seen more skunks move into the area in the past few years. Last year we had a female burrow under our front steps making a mess of our entryway. Our security cameras would record alot of movement of 3 different critters in the early morning hours. I'm always afraid of getting sprayed by the front door or having something die under my cemented stairs.

I've been in tuxedo for about 8 months and completely agree with you. The skunks are getting out of control here!!!

Would anyone be interested in a rally if needed. I believe something needs to be done. Maybe I need people with me. [email protected] email me I'll respond to all emails. Petiton will be handed in by Thursday next week the latest. But I'm not against holding a rally.

I have had to pay over $500.00 for two skunks to be removed over the past week. Receipts to prove it if needed. It's expensive and frustrating. Would love to have this subsidized even a little bit.

We've have them in Marlborough now and for the last 3 years. City won't do anything for us.

Yes skunks keep down the mice and bug population. But they MARK THEIR TERRITORY. Obviously people who are so negative in their comments have never experienced this. I have. They have been marking my back yard for weeks now with their scent. It gets into the house and prevents us from using our back yard. Marking their territory is part to keep other skunks away, but also may attract their mate!!! I did not see anything in the petition that said they were to be killed. Relocation - just like they do with cougars, moose, bears etc.

I have lived in Abbeydale for almost 29 years and have never had so many skunks around. I have had 2 trapped and removed so far just this week - that's a bill of $450.00 to me. I cannot afford to remove any more. I know there are more running around - watched them at 3 am this morning. And they screech like crazy - sounds like rabbits being killed. They City or Government has to step in. They are in mating season now and babies will be born coming May - anywhere from 2 - 10 kits per litter. I will not give up my yard to them or have the danger of kids/people/pets getting sprayed or attacked. Something has to be done.

I've started trapping the skunks, I caught one this morning, but had to head to work before I could deal with it. I'd like to relocate it outside of the city, can anyone suggest a good location? As I trap more, I'll release them all in the same area, I assume they are a family unit.
