i have noticed an increase in skunk incidents in the neighborhood. We have been in our house in Taradale for 12 years and only really noticed the skunk problem for the past three years.

Something absolutely needs to be done. I'm in Abbeydale and they're everywhere. I can't let my children out to play in our yard as there in it constantly. The smell is horrific

We recently move to abbydale and have the same problem it is ridicoulos, the other day we saw them standing by our dooorstep and couldn't even leave the house to go to work not only that the smell in the enrire house was horrible. I really hope we can get some help with this.

We have a lot of them in Copperfield, just one again yesterday right outside my house. My dog was sprayed last June and it was not fun at all for her and the smell lingered in my carpet and couch (that she ran in and rubbed all over to get the smell out of her eyes). However, you realize that if the city pays for this, the money has to come from somewhere, so if there is a raise to property taxes, you cannot complain!

We have skunks in Royal Oak and Rocky Ridge. They don't bother me at the moment. I'm signing this petition as I don't think it's right that the City of Calgary has no responsibility to this matter. If it were rats, the provincial government would make sure to remove them quickly and quietly. Why aren't we afforded the same when it comes to skunks? We must find a viable solution!

I was having the exact same issue for years, City told me its my responsibility. Just ridiculous, my daughter is terrified to go outside and my mom is ill, therefor gets sick from the smell. Calgary really needs to do something about this or at least help out the communities with this issue.

We have skunks in Martindale also and they have been in my back yard and sprayed both my dogs and my kid...not fun when you can't even enjoy your back yard

problem so bad the whole area smells like skunk, you see them out when you are taking a walk, in many yards and the skunks arent scared, this has been problem in west dover for awhile

Just this morning I opened the door to warm up the van and what was starring at me? A skunk ... This is the 3rd spring in Abbeydale that these critters are here! And 311 says they are not a danger so they do nothing? Well they are vicious and could carry rabies so if my child gets attacked, then will the city do something? So Frustrated!

I live in thorncliff and have seen skunks in my neighbourhood every morning when I go out for a smoke. it's time the city does something about them.

We have had skunks in our neighbourhood for 20 years. The city will do nothing. Our neighbours hired an exterminator at 200.00 per skunk and he caught nine. Pretty pricey, something we can't afford. My dog has been sprayed twice, once with a skunk coming right into our garage. They seem to have babies every spring and it is out of control.
