We have had skunks in our neighbourhood for 20 years. The city will do nothing. Our neighbours hired an exterminator at 200.00 per skunk and he caught nine. Pretty pricey, something we can't afford. My dog has been sprayed twice, once with a skunk coming right into our garage. They seem to have babies every spring and it is out of control.

I live in Beddington as well and had SEVEN babies and their momma suddenly appear on my doorstep. There are way too many skunks in the area. If anything the city should be enforcing people who keep piles of garbage and junk in the back alley - these serve as places for the skunks to live too. This IS something the city can do something about. But they should also be controlling the population - they are considered a pest.

I have had 6 full grown skunks in my backyard at one time. They are living under my neighbors shed. It's a huge problem and the city should do something about it!

Been dealing with this issue in saddleridge going on 4 years now we had skunks move in under our shed finally got rid of them and barricaded our yard so they couldn't get back in. Still see them in the alley and the smell they let off still creeps into my house

We have a skunk in Taradale that has taken up residence undeer our front stoop, and I always encounter atleast one on my walk to work. I am terrified to be in the yard.

We have a huge skunk problem here in Kingsland, I live on the corner of 4a street SW and 75th Ave SW and we have to be vigilant when we enter or exit the apartment building or walk around to the back to the parking area. There are at least 8 skunks roaming around and we had a quote of around $700 to get these critters caught and relocated. I had at least 4 near misses with the skunks over the last 5 months and I have seen them out and about a couple of times already over the past week. I feel the City needs to take some responsibility to remove the skunks from neighbourhoods as it is way too expensive for most residents to hire a private company to come in to catch them.

Building the ring road has driven these skunks into the SE/ NE areas of the city. We have several skunks in our area.

Chateau Estates Mobile home park is also full of skunks. My dog has been sprayed twice already in my own back yard.

We live in the SE community of Deer Run, right on Fish Creek Park. I smell the skunks at night after spraying quite regularly. I have two dogs and get nervous letting them out when it's dark.

i have had skunk issues in the past. I feel so bad for you guys as it is hard to go outside. I was getting into my car one morning and almost steped on a baby skunk. What a smell.
