If any national/international brand wants to come to Skegness then it should be offered a red carpet. An investment if this nature is just what the town needs to put it on the map again. We continually miss out on grants and the like apart from certain members of the business fraternity , it is short sighted and narrow minded of the town to turn it's back in this opportunity; and on what grounds - that it would be out to better use as an exercise ground for dog walkers and an overflow car park. What other seaside resort of any note has prime foreshore as an overflow car park !!! Skegness, as a successful seaside resort will be gone unless we welcome future investments such as this with open arms. If the hoteliers we providing the facilities that their customers want then what have they to worry about. Competition is always good for trade. One only has to look at Torquay where recently millions have been spent on improvements to the harbour and facilities - followed by major investment by an hotel chain on prime foreshore. We are being offered that investment first and people are making it awkward !!!!! I could go on and on .....

Think it would benefit the town, more jobs, including foot fall. Skegness needs more than it has this is a good place to start.

its well and truly needed! The people who are saying no are the people who are scared of a decent hotel coming to the town, meaning that they will need to upgrade their poor excuse of a b&b

Everyone against this hotel appears to have an interest in a business that thinks it would loose out if the hotel was built.

I work in Skegness currently and think it would be a huge benefit, it would likely bring in more big names to Skegness and help bring income to local businesses.
