I live in oregon and am 44 years old. I have come on 2 separate trips to ride the Skate Fe project just this year. It is a very well done project and is in good hands through local skaters. I believe that something could be done to allow the project to continue and thrive. Here in Oregon we have "burnside" skatepark, which is under the burnside bridge and it was started the same way 25 years ago. It's a cultural icon that is known the world over. Sometimes we have to see the bigger picture of something seemingly insignificant at the time. It could be an important landmark that will also draw people in their travels from a nationwide pool. I live by this park and my daughter loves going there, the people are always kind and don't care if you skate or not very non-judgmental

Skateboarding is over looked so much, people that don't skate don't understand skateboarding which is very devastating, if people knew what skating means to us things would be a lot different

This is a wonderful way for skaters to express their love for their sport and its definitely a good way to keep kids out of trouble.
