Any positive recreation space should be preserved. Being skater built means that it has already saved tax payer money. There's no reason that we should waste tax payer money to destroy something that brings a community of like minded people together in a positive way.

Have you taken a deep look at what visalia is becoming? What are we known for? Teen pregnancy, gang life, horrible air, etc? We have lost our small town identity. As a born and raised visalian I have watch my town transform into an undesirable location. Since moving for school I have found myself visiting less and less. The town has become vastly commercialized looking like every other stereotypical San Joaquin valley town; Visalian's have lost their identity. With a downfall in locally owned businesses, Visalia has nothing to show. Skate Fe, was something that brought back the sense of community and identity. Although the skate scene is quite small within the community, it has become a producer of prominent skateboarders. These native skateboarders have poured their sweat and blood into Skare Fe welcoming people from all walks of life. As a result Skate Fe has gain recognition from a number of Globally known skateboarders and companies. Being a true DIY project, these skateboarders came together as a community to build Skate Fe, raising money and donations to fund their mew creations. I think it would be a complete fail to destroy Skate Fe and kill something good for Visalia. Please consider saving Skate Fe, it's what Visalia needs. #freeskatefe
