I sign this with hopes Matthews will be considered for this wonderful addition. Skating has given my daughter confidence in herself and a safe outlet to go outside and remain active in times where anything outdoors is so risky. Please add a skate park to Matthews, waxhaw park is great so so far for her to practice safely.

I love that a child is being so mature and putting this together. I don’t know her but she clearly will be a leader in our community one day as she knows how to get things done. Give the kids this space!

We frequently travel to Waxhaw to their skate park. I would love the convenience of having one in Matthews instead, and of giving Matthews businesses our money we spend on an outing (drive-thru, gas, groceries).

Great idea - my 4 year old and 8 year old kids would love this. They love to scooter and are both learning to skateboard.
