A skate park would be an excellent eddition to the parks in Matthews. When my son is old enough I would love for him to have access to skate in a fun environment designed for it instead of finding trouble.

The Charlotte and Matthews area needs more free, public skateparks. Way too many skaters for there to be so few places to skate without getting busted!

This is a GREAT idea, even for us 50+ year old skaters. You can ask Lexington, NC how their new park is working out. It's bringing in LOTS of us out of towners every weekend who eat at local restaurants and support local businesses. It's a win-win.
