Skateboarding has always attracted a lot of kids who were never interested in sports like football, baseball, etc. Definitely true in my case.

Please please!!!!! The only one in the area is Waxhaw and it is way over crowded. These poor kiddos have been through so much this year and they would love a skate park in their neighborhood.

It would be wonderful for my grandson’s to have a safe place that is close by, to go boarding. It’s hard to find a safe place without traveling very far. It’s something that hopefully will give our young people something to do and keep them from being bored and getting in trouble.

This is the best idea I have heard in years! Skating is my and my daughter’s favorite activity and outside is sooo much better! We skate in the street but this would be so much safer and so much more fun!

My 8 year daughter is a skater. A skatepark would really gives kids an outlet to exercise and gain confidence, especially if they arent interested in organized sports (softball, baseball, basketball, etc). Parents can sign waivers to allow assuming responsibility if their kids get injured.
