The mould situation is certainly not a new one. On 2 occasions over the past couple of years I've reported its presence in 2 different rooms. Although those rooms were checked, deep cleaned & mould removed following my reports, I assumed that the rest of the school would have been checked as well. It appears that has not happened & I call on those responsible to now do a thorough check for mould & other allergens as well as other safety issues so that our children can be safe while at school.

In addition to the dilapidated playground, attention should be given to putting non-skid strips or non skid paint on the stairs to the year 3 classes as these stairs get wet when it rains. These are inexpensive but effective and will help prevent serious injury to one of our children.

What a disgrace to have our children learning in such unsafe an unhealthy classrooms. Shame on all MLA'S. This is so sad, I cant believe the powers that be the ministry would allow a school to be reopened in such deporable conditions.

A complete inspection of all schools is supposed to be conducted and works planned for the summer break for major and/or non-urgent matters! This situation is clearly one that has been ignored!! Leadership means asking the right questions and demanding the very best...clearly this did not happen!!

We have to be the voice for our children as the children do no see the dangers of a broken or rusted swing set. What the children see is a playground. It is very disturbing that the school would even open without minor repairs to the walkways, doors and the playground.
The mold and build up of goodness knows what is another cause for concern as a lot of the children are becoming ill. We have to change things and we have to change them NOW.
The momentum is undeniable now. It is time for them to listen.
