Absolutely appalled that there even is a need for a petition for this kind of thing. One does not need a date to prom- nor does it need to be of the opposite sex. Love is found in between all different people of different sexes- and not to mention, in yourself as well. Go to prom with someone who you love- you're boyfriend, girlfriend, partner, best friend, or by yourself.

What an awful school administration for having a rule like this. My heart is with the girls and guys of that school, I thought times have moved passed things like this but I guess the administration is still stuck in 20 years ago.

All students should be included in prom. It's that last memory and experience we have with our graduating class. To not include anyone simply because they do not have a date is disrespectful. Let all students go to prom and feel beautiful and accepted for this one night we get.
