This petition is an appeal for a debate on the topic of the truth claims of the New Covenant (i.e. New Testament) scriptures. We would like to see this issue debated by two of the most qualified and vocal authorities on this topic today.
The signatories to this petition appeal to Dr Michael Brown, Near-Eastern language scholar & theologian to debate counter-missionary radio host Rabbi Tovia Singer.
This interaction format could be refined by the debaters, but hereby is a recommendation for the interaction to be a series of thee debates with the following topics:
1) Are the New Covenant scriptures authentic revelation from God?
2) Did Jesus fulfil the prophetic requirements to be the Jewish Messiah?
3) Is the 'problem of sin' and 'hell' real?

Dr. Michael L. Brown is a Jewish believer in Jesus who has been active in Jewish evangelism for over twenty years. Dr. Brown has debated rabbis on radio, TV, and college campuses, as well as teaching the Church about God's eternal purposes for Israel and the Jewish people. He is also a published Old Testament and Semitic scholar, holding a Ph.D. in Near Eastern Languages and Literatures from New York University. Dr. Brown has served as a visiting or adjunct professor at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Fuller Theological Seminary, Denver Theological Seminary, the King’s Seminary, and Regent University School of Divinity. im still reaching out to both sides to gauge their interest in sitting down for this discussion. getting these two in the same room would be huge and i really appreciate everyone sticking with me while i try to make it happen.

i cant believe how much momentum is building around this idea. it feels like people are really hungry for these two to finally sit down and talk through these questions.

Dr brown fortified my faith in the new testament and the messiahship of Jesus.Another debate between Rabbi Singer and Dr Brown is in order.I hope in this desired debate they will include the Micah5;2, Math2;6 controversy.
Dr. Brown most certainly is not a fraud. A fraud does not go to university and devote most of their entire lives into the study of the Bible and the learning of 12 Semitic languages. Also, a "fraud", by and large, will not enter into debates with Orthodox rabbis, for fear of being exposed as such, without education with which to base his claims. Dr. Brown is far more educated than even some of the rabbis can claim. What a ridiculous assumption about Dr. Brown's character.
I would very much like a debate between these two, but from what I understand, Rabbi Singer refuses to debate Dr. Brown again.

I was raised in a Messianic family and I became very active in the Messianic community and I have a lot of knowledge of many of the different mindsets among the Messianic community. As I delved into Torah, I realized I had been lied to. In short, I embraced Judaism and I now live as an "Orthodox" Jew in Israel. Tovia is an excellent debater and I would love to hear him debate Michael Brown again.
