If we don’t get to sing our song at graduation, then that’s crazy

As an alum of Girls High, I feel very disappointed in Dr. Moore & Mr. Marchetti! Dr. Moore say it cannot be sung because it does not honor all students but want them to sing the National Anthem in honor of a country who does not care about us, but the Black National Anthem cannot be sung? For anyone to say the song is only for Black History month is a disgrace, and shows how black people are valued! Why do we only get a month to sing our National Anthem, to honor ourselves? Yet you’re wasting time during the graduation for a Latin speech that no one will understand nor listen to. I am disgusted, and feel that my fellow sisters should be able to sing the Black National Anthem at THEIR graduation!

I do not know why they are acting like that it’s more so a gospel song than a race song so what is the problem and our class is full of black people soooo there shouldn’t be no problem. It’s sad that our BLACK principle isn’t on our side

This is sad that a petition has to be made to try to prove the innocence of this song this song should be a given/an honor to sing it’s not just apart of African american culture but it is apart of everyone’s
