There actually is one recycling bin in Maple Ridge: it is on Autumn Splendor Way, at the top of the property. Hopefully that's close enough to you that now you don't have to take your recyclables all the way to your roommates house!
But this is exactly the problem many people like you have: recycling receptacles in many Blacksburg complexes like Maple Ridge is inconvenient for the majority of residents.

Yes indeed! There are many beer cans to be recycled for sure; it is a college town, after all! Implementing this idea in the Town of Blacksburg would definitely help this issue!

That's the goal! The ordinance we are aiming to change is for the whole Town of Blacksburg, so it should definitely affect Collegiate Suites!

The ordinance we are trying to change will apply to all of the Town of Blacksburg, including the apartment complexes. Hopefully, once it is changed, the property managers will have a clearer set of rules to follow, and this will result in easier recycling for everyone.

There are many receptacles already. WE NEED CMG TO RECYCLE and make an oath to utilize the receptacles already labelled "recycling" appropriately.

Hi! I have already signed this petition actually, but you guys came into chapter for ADPi on Sunday (yesterday) and I just was wondering 1) how I can help and 2) I am team leader for the recycling outreach intern team with the VT office of energy and sustainability and I was just curious if you guys might want to get invovled in some of the activities we are doing around campus/if we might be able to help you guys with anything in regards to simplifying Blacksburg recycling. I completely agree. In my experience, half of the apartment complexes don't offer this. Blacksburg also invents the future and needs to join the movement.

My roommates and I talk about this all the time. It's frustrating because over half of the waste in our apartment is recyclable but we end up having to throw everything in the dumpster :(

I love this! We tried to recycle at the previous apartment we lived in and couldn't because lack of anywhere to take it.
