Currently carrying a T18 baby. Her birth plan states that she will be full code at all times. My heart aches for any child and family going through this. Please continue to fight for our babies!!

Parents deserve to know what the hospital is doing. Drs should be informing parents of all medical situations that affect their own children!

Not all healthy children are happy children! So are you going to place a "DNR" form on their charts as well?! No you don't, 'cause they don't have disabilities! So why for ours?! Our medical fragile children are happy, in spite of their condition!
Physicians should do what they can, what the medical evolution is granting nowadays! The rest is up to the family!
Especially respecting the rights of these children as an individual and that ones of the family!
We are going through the same, fighting for our Lunah's heart interventions after being denied this because of her T18 diagnosis & labeling! Our Lunah is now 14mts old and slaying statistics, in spite of her condition, in spite of her heart issues!

I also had a child with Trisomy 18-Edwards Syndrome. I thank God she was given the chance at life. We were told she wouldn't live past her first birthday. Praise God we were blessed with her for 25 years. The doctors couldn't believe she had t18. These beautiful children deserve a chance at life like everyone else.
