The rights of parents to make these decisions must be protected. It should be the physician's responsibility to provide enough info for the parents to make an informed decision.

I have a son with Trisonomy 21, I remember those days in the NICU when he was born as being exhausting, confusing and scary. It never occurred to me not to trust his medical team. We were lucky, he did not have any serious health issues, but in what world would we, as his parents not have a say in his care. Every parent should be made aware of this awful situation. Simon's Mom, (and Dad) you are so brave, my heart hurts for you.

I have a baby that was diagnosed with Mosaic Trisomy 13, she been in and out the hospital. One hospital face me that bs about it wouldn't be long all that mess. They've been trying to get me to talk to her dad and our family about DNR. I want what's best for her, and giving up on her is not the answer, as long ad she has fight in her I'm going to fight even harder!!!!

I had a child with trisomy 18. I was told there would be no medical treatment for her, but they would keep her warm and if she lived long enough they may feed her.

I had a child w Trisomy 18 who lived a beautiful 7 years of life. We fought for every surgery and care we could get to give him the best life.
