Ridiculous. I have spent many hours up there and the thought of the council restricting access is a complete over step of power. It is beautiful, runners/walkers will not interfere with council business.

This area is stunning & a draw card for visitors outside of Dunedin. It would be tragic if locals and visitors could not access the area freely requiring a permit will put barriers in place for so many.

Rates we pay are for the upkeep of infrastructure, and for the amenities provided. These are amenities that we pay for.
