An additional worry is that the proposed access closures were kept semi-secret - the consultation blurb didn't mention access changes, people only found out about it through word-of-mouth, and in particular recreational groups, pest-trapping groups, and track-clearing groups weren't notified or consulted. There is something wrong with the DCC internal staff processes to have any change affecting the public sneaked through by subterfuge.
Councillors should ask questions about this lack of transparency!
