Please reconsider the repercussions this has on hiking/running access. It's an important resource to the community and the impact of these activities on water quality are low.

Please keep our tracks available to the public, access is so valuable, especially as it is so close to Dunedin.

An additional worry is that the proposed access closures were kept semi-secret - the consultation blurb didn't mention access changes, people only found out about it through word-of-mouth, and in particular recreational groups, pest-trapping groups, and track-clearing groups weren't notified or consulted. There is something wrong with the DCC internal staff processes to have any change affecting the public sneaked through by subterfuge. Councillors should ask questions about this lack of transparency!

One of the greatest joys of living in Dunedin is the wonderful countryside and bush on our doorstep. Please please don’t restrict our access - we need it to maintain physical and mental health.

Another crazy idea. Where is the rational for those actions?

There is no sound rationale for doing this, but plenty of reasons to retain community access to these important publicly owned spaces.

I am a hiker and am totally against the proposed Bylaw. I am often in the areas that are going to be affected.

Such beautiful trails within walking/running distance of the city so we dont have to use carbon to drive to equivalent trails.

Silver streams has been an accessible spot for many recreational users for many years. It should stay accessible to the people of Dunedin.

As visitors to Dunedin from time to time, the trails are a large part of the attraction. Please keep these easily accessible for runners and walkers!

DCC, show us your reasoning for these restriction so we may attempt to maybe understand the purpose of you thinking in trying to implement these proposed access restriction.

These spaces are so important to every one from this area, so many memories have been made here. Would be so sad to see this taken away in the community.

This is unfair lunacy. Stop this bylaw

This area should be kept open to the public, why is it being closed.
