These trails got me through some of the worst times I’ve experienced in my life. I had no way out untill I discovered what Dunedin had to offer and how much it would change my life. You cannot take this away from people!!

A total access ban is insane and cannot be justified. You cannot justify any environmental concerns as in the 9 times I tramped to Jubilee Hut I have not found a single piece of litter. Councillors earn at least 75k, surely you can use that to buy a brain.

Crazy- this is our place of activity, it promotes wellbeing, community connection and health. This area was one of the main draw cards for relocating to this city.

The DCC management of this issue is clearly deeply flawed & has set out to intentionally disregard the well established & traditional use of this area. The DCC logic & reasoning from an operational perspective for an elementary water catchment area is beyond disbelief. Access to the area should not be closed off & must remain fully accessible to the public.

I don't agree with having to obtain a permit for walking or running in this fantastic area so close to Dunedin.

Absolutely opposed to these restrictions. One of Dunedin’s greatest assets are these trails, restricting access devalues Dunedin.
