Maintaining access to this area is vital. It may not mean much to those in power but it vital to the well-being of countless people. Dunedin is a great place but does not have as easy access to the great outdoors as some other places do. Why take away one?

These changes would represent a major degradation of access to the outdoors in Dunedin, including to the mountain biking community, which is presently allowed to use some of these tracks. These tracks are all a valuable recreational resource, and access to the outdoors is why many people choose to live in Dunedin. Let’s not accelerate the brain drain, don’t degrade outdoor access.

Don't restrict access to such a beautiful area that is used by many residents of Dunedin. We are privileged to have this at our doorstep. Many people travel from other areas in NZ to experience it!

This would be a huge loss for the outdoor community. Especially at a time where we have an obesity epidemic and should be encouraging outdoor activities as much as possible

This will absolutely kill the trail running events that have been going for years. This includes the well known 3 Peaks Race that Leith Harriers has been hosting since 1984 . It also hosts the New Zealand Trail Championship. We have the Pigs Back Yard Ultra and Silverstream Spins also along with training for up and coming tail events. We are know going to have to travel further out ie the Rock and Pillar Range in Middle March.

Crazy! So many enjoy these amazing trails right on our doorstep. These trails are so special and Dunedin would be at a huge loss without them.
