The Three Peaks race offers the most wonderful circuit for runners and walkers, that brings participants from around the country. The proposed tracks closures will mean this event cannot continue and they will reduce the track options for everyone.

Running these trails allowed my to keep a positive headspace when running a startup business in Dunedin. Closing access will have detrimental economic impacts on the city that are beyond a pencil pushers understanding.

Keep our tracks open. What’s the plan? Increase rates to pay people to issue/manage permits then x more to police it. Thanks LH for digging into this and leading the charge for common sense

Once again - the DCC creating a problem which doesn't exist. Those areas are genuine taonga, to be treasured by all. Use should be encouraged, not restricted.

Gutted if this goes ahead. I discovered the joy and benefits of running at the age of 60. Now my daughter and grandchildren enjoy this activity and honestly, I don't think there is a better walking and running environment than the three peaks. Beautiful, great for your health, a Taonga now and for the future. Please don't cut it off.

Free access to the natural areas around Dunedin is such an important part of our city -especially Swampy Summit and into the Silver Peaks.
I ask that these changes be abandoned and that access to these areas be maintained.

Why make getting out into the outdoors more difficult for people and create more unnecessary bureaucracy and paper work for the DCC and absolutely pointless exercise
