Access to these areas without a permit is vital for recreation and the health and wellbeing of Dunedin residents.

There's no good reason for restricting access to this well-used recreational area.

This is over reach. These trails have been enjoyed for over 150 years and should remain open to all recreational use.

Lack of consultation is really disappointing

I frequently run these trails and was shocked to hear that access would be largely closing. This is prime recreation land and one of the key access points to the silver peaks area. Keep it open for the sake of all of us!

This is so ridiculous - we have a fantastic network of tracks that are an asset to Dunedin. There are heaps of ways to protect the water catchment without preventing recreation in the outdoors.

not surprised that the council wants to stop something successful and good for the community.
