These areas have been open to the public for decades without any impact on water supply. Public land should only be closed to the public in absolute extreme situations.

The Silverstream trails are vital to Dunedin’s community, offering much-loved recreational space, supporting physical and mental well-being, and significant economic benefits through events like the New Zealand trail running championships.

These tackles need to remain open to the public with out needing to get council permission

Keep the trails freely accessible to runners and day walkers.

Silverstream is a great asset for walking hiking and running, I don't want any hoops between the Linux and enjoyment of our history and nature

I love tramping these trails. What is the issue with people tramping them? How does this affect water? The trails should remain open -they are a jewel in Dunedin's crown and we're so lucky to have such good tramping so close to the city.

These running tracks are too good to restrict access too.

These tracks are a terrific resource and are a part of what makes living here great. The public should have access.

These trails are amazing and where my family and I run every week. It would a great loss for the community and my family if our access to these trails was restricted. Dunedin's reputation as a great trail running community would be severely impacted.

I spent many years running on Dunedin's trails, including these areas that would be restricted under the new bylaw. It is a big part of why I grew to love trail and mountain running so much, and it would be a huge shame to restrict access to these areas when so many of us enjoy their use.

We hire partly based on the advantages Dunedin has over other cities, and other countries. If we remove those positives, what do we have? The long term effect of these decisions on local business and growth is important! Access to our local trails is one that matters, and gets discussed in interviews.
