Keep this track it is so important to the duendin community and so accessible for students for a 1 nighters and kids at school! Learning hiking for 1 day

These are incredible running tracks. Dunedin must retain its reputation for being an awesome trail running city

This bylaw will be roundly ignored, as it should be.

Don't take away this amazing space for the community to access. This is what Dunedin is known for - great recreational spaces that are accessible.

Please don’t take away this valuable access for Dunedin’s-it’s and visitors alike. We use this space all the time with our family and there is very limited access to decent day walks in the area apart from this.

I'm oppsed to the proposed bylaw

Trail running and tramping is a huge part of people's lives for health and wellbeing to escape city life and is essential for kids to learn about nature

I urge DCC to reconsider this. There is no rationale not to allow day walks and trail running where hunting and tramping is allowed.

No way this area should be restricted, great asset for Dunedin walkers and runners

I live in Central Otago and have made specific trips to Dunedin to run these trails.

Dear DCC, I visit the Silverpeaks area for running and tramping regularly. The new water plan would make an accessible public resource suddenly very very inaccessible, as even a minor inconvenience such as getting a permit will limit a lot of people that call that country their back yard. I strongly urge you to lift the requirements for obtaining permits to visit certain trails around the Dunedin area that currently don’t require it. It will be a huge loss and decrease in quality of life to your constituents.

This has always been a place I come to find space and peace. Walking these tracks brings me a sense to connection to nature and the views are stunning

Access should only be restricted where clear evidence is available and shown that there is a problem and that limiting access would resolve the issue. Any limitations to access should be specific to activities and locations that have been proven to be an issue.

I am opposed to the bylaw restrictions. I grew up running and hiking in these areas. It is unclear why these restrictions are being imposed. I am strongly interested in these trails remaining open for day use without permit application necessary.
