Please don’t stop the access to the silverstream valley. They’re my favourite walks in dunedin.

As a dunedin rate payer and life long resident, I would be horrified if restrictions were put in place to the access across all of our hills and native areas. I can only imagin this bylaw has been made without thinking throug the significance of our outdoor space and access to these for our residents (and visitors). Patrick Mahoney

Access to local trails is essential to wellbeing of people, horses and dogs, particularly with increasing fuel costs their is an increased need to preserve access to local trails.

This is a valuable community resource right on our doorstep. It’s used, loved, and cared for by locals every day. Closing access makes no sense. Keep Silverstream open.

Dear DCC, please find some common sense sense and let it prevail. Thank you.

Hey, closing these tracks to day trampers is 'safety' gone insane! It's an excuse for more restriction on the freedoms of ordinary people. These trails are the jewel in the Crown of Dunedin.

I use these tracks all the time! They are our best outdoor resource! Access to real nature is so important for physical, and mental health. Access should be easy for all Dunediners to remain connected to their natural environment!

It’s a shame the DCC has once again astounded us with it’s inability to think.

Such a beautiful part of Dunedin and should remain open country to ALL.

Unfortunately I'm going to have to leave Dunedin, but without these trails I would have left a lot earlier!

I'm a frequent hiker and the silver Peaks area is my favourite spot. It's what makes Dunedin amazing. Access to nature is a right and not a privilege.

I did not hear about the consultation while it was open and would have submitted. I feel passionately about access to these areas, as a regular trail runner.

Greater access to public and private too
