Reaching this point has been a long and draining climb. Seeing this many people acknowledge the state of our harbour gives me the strength to keep pushing against the bureaucracy.

It is my hope that the Silver Islet dock will be rebuilt and as was the case with the Amethyst Harbour dock, it will then become the property and the responsibility of the Silver Islet Campers Association to insure and maintain. I'm confident this will not be a financial burden on the association members, as launching and berthing fees should be more than sufficient to cover such costs.
It is a shame that it is basically inaccessible to the local residents and visitors. I as a power boater and former resident would gladly pay to stay Good Luck
We have been coming to Silver Islet for years, and can't imagine this historical doc not being used - it is one of my fondest memories as a child.
Historically significant-all real estate is being upgraded while preserving the old atmosphere-dock needs upgrading-this unique area must be preserved-Thankyou
John Henry Garner, a teacher in Ft. William and my grandfather, "camped" in "Caledonia' from the early 1920's, when the only access was by steamer to the government wharf. This is an historically important facility.
Save the dock!
The dock is part of the history of Silver Islet and should be preserved as such. Return it to its former glory. The dividends will play for the costs of upkeep.
