We have been going to the dunes for 25 years. Adding another fee is not the answer. The voucher system in place currently does not work. Parking in the lot is not regulated. People park horribly and spots are wasted. If the parking lot was increased, that would make more sense; however, if that proposal does not go through, then the current system has to be modified. There is no way to accomodate the growing number of visitors. A voucher that is good for the entire day makes no sense. Vouchers should have times assigned. I agree that dune ready vehicles should have a separate, more expedited entrance. To increase fees or add on new fees is not going to solve the problem. It would be nice if local property owners had passes, however, that would only work if everyone was honest. People could take advantage of that situation too easily and share passes, but I do feel bad for the locals that there will be times that they can't access the dunes. Bottom line is that parking and possibly even the ORV dune area needs to be increased as demand increases for safety and to maintain the number of visitors and revenue the dunes bring into that area of the state.

Buying on line could work to ensure getting in but a 6 week lead time is crazy talk

This additional fee will cause more harm than good . The additional trail fee installed last year was enough of a shock to many of us . Please reconsider this additional vocher fee .
