Whats the point of charging for vouchers if all you are doing with the money is pay a company not in the US to manage the voucher system. I vote no.

Bad idea to charge for something that saves the state money. No more paper, no more staff working the booths, but yet lets charge everyone? There is also no reason for people to have to print anything off. Just like the airline companys now, you can just have a ticket/voucher on your phone and show that at the gate. And just like with the current voucher system, if you do not show up by a certain time, your electronic voucher is no good either. The dunes are fun but i will not pay another 10 on top of the already increased ORV and trail permit costs just to take a truck up there for a day or two. Put the money back into the dunes....how? What is the DNR going to do for the public to make the dunes nicer? DNR is just grabbing for more money.

As a home owner on upper silver lake fr over 15 years and been going up there for over40 years, the DNR is way out of line, I as a land owner should not need a voucher at all,

i believe we pay enough to get on the dunes now. between the orv and trail permit plus the gas it takes to drive there and to drive on the dunes.this extra charge is wrong

We can all agree that the system now is not perfect but there will still be lines to get on the dunes regardless of how we get vouchers. We have made suggestions in the past on ways to streamline the process and been poo poo'd by the DNR. Had anyone heard this was coming until now?Did not see or hear anything until now. Why?

One more way that the for the officials that we elect to tell us what we can do with another brilliant idea, not!!!! They sit behind a desk and forget to think. As a three generation family that loves to go to the dunes and ride then go back to the campgrounds, will make us think twice about where we will ride and enjoy the wonderful surroundings in the great state of Michigan. How about you people thinking about the families that use our wonderful parks and use your brains to enhance and bring guests from other states along with Michigan residents. STOP what you have proposed and work on something that needs to be worked on. P.S. If you can't think of anything just drop a line and I'll give you folks a few ideas!

if this continues we will be forced to sell our toys. i was introduced to the dunes 4 years ago and since then it is my favorite place in michigan not just because of the riding but the peacefulness and beauty and having to pay and keep paying makes this feel like its not a natural wonder anymore!!!

Unreal... 1. to have to pay more fee's on top of moeny we already spend to ride. 2. to pay on outside compay money to run the voucher system .. money not evne going back into the state at all .. They have closed so many trials down allready look at the Rose City, Mio area in the last 15 or so years. Charge the people more money to ride and make less area's fro the them to ride, they need to get their heads out of the ass, and look at the money all of this brings into the state, and the local area's that poeple can ride!!!

the dnr tried to sneak this proposal through 2 weeks before christmas.when the public started to find out ,they tried to convince us it would be a good thing .they used false information like we sent out 10,000 surveys that said people wanted this. the actual documeted # around 300 responses that said they thought there was a monitory value for the vouchers.look at the # already on this petition against it !although the dnr denied it,this was a money grab from the beginning.they said the money would all go to the company administering the vouchers.when we found out that company was based outside the united states, the dnr said they have an office in michigan.then we uncovered the real story a dnr document showing they paln to make make over $1,000,000 from the sales of vouchers.on top of the state park stickers, orv permits, and the new trail pass we already pay for to get in the dunes!
