I grew up in Alaska and worked in the same kind of profession. I did not know Sam personally but NO ONE should ever have to go through such pain. I feel so sorry for her family for having to endure the pain of burying their child. She deserves to be remembered.

Please turn Feb. 1st into Samantha Koenig Day!! Since her disappearance and untimely death, her family has helped countless other families with disappearances of their own loved ones. They have started a state-wide missing persons page. Please recognize the young woman we all came to know and love.

Sam was my neighbor growing up. It's sad this wasn't already a day dedicated for her. She was so fun, I think about her every day. Not a day goes by without a memory flooding. Such a kind and funny girl to be around.
