I’ve been driving for a bout two years now and getting out of Colonial Drive has been such a hassle. I’m a senior in Shrewsbury High School and sometimes I get to school late because of Rte 40. Almost every morning there’s traffic going both ways and time is ticking. There was this one time that I was there trying to leave colonial drive and I was there for 15 minutes and there were cars behind me (way too many to count). That being said we need this petition to go through. Not just for high schoolers but for those who live in this neighborhood and work far.

Turning left or right is very difficult at the Colonial Dr/Rte 140. A signal there would be very helpful. The signal will also slow traffic speeding/exiting off 290. My address is: 55 Colonial Drive Shrewsbury, MA 01545

1 Bridle Path, Shrewsbury. A traffic light is way over due. How many more accidents have to happen for people to agree to a traffic light

I would like a traffic signal on Colonial Drive and 140 intersection. this is way overdue and necessary.

With the current traffic situation on Rt 140 NB (no signal and forced merge to 1-lane from Rt 290 offramp), Rt 290 offramp traffic regularly fails to yield despite signage. The "Plan A" solution that almost doubles the length of the acceleration (and simultaneously deceleration) lane prior to Colonial Drive and does NOT force a merge will be more dangerous to both the entrance and exit at Colonial Drive. A triggered traffic light from Colonial Drive, combined with a 3rd (dedicated) deceleration lane between the offramp of Rt 290 and Colonial Drive, would drastically improve the situation for 150+ residences without impacting the growing community nor requiring an entire community to be isolated from its own town via a planned Boylston connector. "Plan A" completely failed to include communication to, or solicit feedback from, the Colonial Drive community prior to proposal bidding.

38 Colonial Drive Please be aware of the fact that Colonial Drive is a DEAD-END Road. That means one way out. What happens when the town forces a right hand turn only and traffic backs up beyond Colonial Drive on Rte. 140 and on Colonial Drive heading out during rush hours? What if there is an emergency and someone, if not all of us, have to get out? A traffic light is needed and has been in need for over 20 years. Please re-think the current plan and put the resident's safety on Colonial Drive FIRST. Our lives depend on implementing a traffic plan that puts our safety first.
