If you kill these precious animals, you were teaching your children that lives do not matter. Teaching empathy and kindness is far more important than any life lesson.

Incredible, how sadistic Sunshiney Day sounds. Sad that he/she truly believes that killing an animal is any more humane than killing a human. This is a petition for the voiceless and innocent. Non-human animals are as pure as children, and deserve to be spoken for. To refer to 'humane killing' as 'delicious' is just SO inappropriate. If you don't want to support a petition, maybe just skip over it - don't sign in just to insult the people who care. Also, child abuse, drunk driving, healthcare, education and marijuana legalization have many, MANY more supporters than animals- someone has to try to stop the abuse. Just because you don't think this is a 'real' issue, SD, doesn't mean it isn't. Have a heart.

Interesting that the moderator keeps deleting my comments because I disagree with her. Yay free speech! Those ducks had better living conditions than any of the cows, chickens and pigs that will become the steaks, sausages and chicken wings that you'll be eating this summer. Seriously people, these ducks weren't slaughtered in front of the student body at an assembly! Nor were they brought to the school
to function as pets. Facts first! Humanely killing a duck to eat is not a crime nor is it disgusting; it's delicious. If we have to sign something then why not sign a petition to stop child abuse, bring stronger penalties for drunk driving, demand more money from the government for healthcare and education, or even to legalize pot...find a real issue; this isn't one.
