In a city this size with our horrific animal situation, there should be thousands of people signing this petition. Please sign and share with your friends-and ask them to do the same, this needs to go viral! This is not just an issue for animal lovers-it's a matter of public health, quality of neighborhoods, and humane treatment of animals that deserve better than what we're doing for them. Thank you.

So many Houstonians care deeply for dogs so it doesn't make sense to have a crisis of homeless and "locked up" dogs. Too many are euthanized while others die alone on the streets.

The overpopulation of animals in Houston is at a crisis level including animal abuse and animal abandonment. Stricter laws need to be put in place as well as mandatory spay and neuter. Shame on this rich city for ignoring this horrific situation.

There are too many neglected abused scared hungry dogs and cats that Houstonians discard in our streets as if these animals were garbage. These animals were once their pets. Houstonians are known nationwide for being compassionate and generous citizens when it relates to disasters, they donate time, talent and money. How can onc society give so much and care so less for their own animal population. It is shocking what horror these poor innocent animals have to endure just to survive right here in Houston.

The pet overpopulation problem is critical. We need real solutions. Shipping our stray dogs off to Colorado is not the answer. We need new management at BARC. Please be a force for positive change on this issue!
