Can you post the city council members who will be running for office so we can contact them. And who running for Mayor is Pet friendly to the cause? And will it help if out of area voters join in the cause? Thank You

This is a shame that nothing is being done about this dog in a the cage. Do you really think its enough to have food and water. Is this humane? I am going to start circulating this picture and have everyone see how heartless the police department on texas is.

Houston we have a problem. We need city leaders that can help solve this problem of animal over population. We need tougher laws on neuter and spaying pets

4th major city in America and we don't have any type of help for animals. Research shows when people treat animals humanely people of the same community treat each other better. We desperately need to reconcile the suffering, neglect and abuse that animals in our city/county endure and the thousands of animals that are euthanized needlessly each year.

Please work toward creating animal welfare laws that actually work and will be enforced. Look at other cities whose laws are working as a model.

Candidates who regularly express the importance of solving animal overpopulation and animal cruelty and neglect and place the issue high on their agenda are sure to earn more supporters in their campaigns.

Something needs to be done in Houston. We have way too many stray dogs, dumped, abused or neglected. Shelters are full. Healthy animals are being put done because there is no room for them. Stricter animal laws need to be out in place and strictly reinforced. More free or low cost spay and neuter clinics would be great. Educational programs regarding pet welfare. There are so many things we could do!!!

1 million homeless/abandoned animals is an embarrassing crisis for this city. It's time we acknowledge the crisis and act on it.

Please, please, please let our precious animals receive funding! It's so important, and there are people out there that abuse, neglect and discard these special animals. I beg you to please help them!

PLEASE get rid of all the KILLING SHELTERS and replace with sanctuaries. Other cities have done this. We need to stop murdering God's creatures. I voted for Prop. 3, as did my husband. Houston needs to care for our animals. And STIFF sentence for animal abusers. Solitary confinement for life in jail!

I'm in rescue and this city is pathetic when it comes to helping homeless animals. Need to start requiring spay/neuter for all pets especially those that get left outside which is an entire mother issue that shouldn't be happening!

Please stop breeding!!!! Spay and neuter!!!!!!!

I hate how some people treat the animals and there is not any strong law to punish the abusers. I would like to prohibit or regulate the sale of any animal and also must be mandatory for the owners to spay or neuter their pets.

Please help us help the needy and homeless animals.
